Our mission is for all our students to feel comfortable in the water! Whether you are learning for the first time or working on stroke refinement, we are here to help!
Oconee Flippers is pleased to offer both private and group lessons to all ages, including adults. If you are nervous to learn or excited to dive in after some time away from the water, if you haven’t had lessons in years or just want to brush up on a few things before that trip you’ve got coming up, our instructors are eager to work with you to develop a plan that aligns with your goals!

SKILLS
Whether you’ve taken lessons as a kid or this is your first time ever stepping into a pool, we’ll meet you where you’re at and get you comfortable and confident in the water as we build your skills!
- Comfortable in water
- Breath control
- Glide 5′, front and back
- Buoyancy (floating) familiarity
- Back float, independently, 30 seconds
- Front crawl
- Elementary backstroke
- Breaststroke
- Sidestroke
- Tread water for 1 minute
- Water safety knowledge

We are using Jackrabbit Swim for all of our scheduling, payments, and updates!
All new students should create a profile and send a message to our team to schedule an appointment.

How can I contact you?

Do you offer make-up classes?
If you is sick we do offer makeup classes. If you know will miss class, please submit an absence through the JackRabbit parent portal.
What should I bring to class?
Bring a towel and a pair of goggles.
Can I swimmer wear goggles?
We recommend they bring goggles to class! We also have practice swimming without goggles so that you do not become too reliant.
Can I request a specific instructor?
With our online scheduling system, you can request an instructor based on availability.
Can I come early or stay late after lessons to practice?
If you would like to come to the pool and practice we recommend getting a pool membership. Information on pool memberships can be found at https://www.oconeeaquatics.com/memberships
What happens if weather causes classes to be canceled?
If classes are to be canceled customers will receive a refund for the class. We have 2 indoor pools so outdoor classes will be moved inside in case of rain.
How long will it take for me to learn?
Our lessons are for fast-progression learning. If you are comfortable putting your face in the water they can learn to swim in just a few sessions! If you are more fearful of putting your eyes in this will take extra practice!
